Muonemeh Ndubuisi Lotenna is a seasoned finance and banking executive with over two decades of progressive leadership experience spanning commercial banking, strategic business transformation, and public sector financial management.
He currently serves with the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) following his impactful tenure as Director of Finance and Accounts at the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), where he led financial strategy, fiscal governance, and institutional accountability at the highest level. In these roles, he has been instrumental in strengthening financial controls, optimizing balance sheet management, enhancing revenue frameworks, and driving transparency within Nigeria’s aviation and safety ecosystem.
Before transitioning into public service, Mr. Lotenna built an exceptional career at Access Bank Plc, where he rose from Executive Trainee to Senior Manager and Zonal Head of the Commercial Banking Division (South-South/South-East). He successfully managed regional balance sheets, drove double-digit quarterly growth in revenue and assets, chaired and presented credits to management and board credit committees, and played a pivotal role in strategic risk and asset-liability management discussions.
He also served as Head of Business Development at Access Bank Zambia Ltd, where he led a comprehensive transformation of the bank’s Strategic Business Units, repositioning the institution from 18th to a top 10 ranking nationally. His leadership spanned commercial, corporate, personal, and business banking divisions, overseeing profitability, credit governance, product development, and executive-level reporting.
Academically, Mr. Lotenna holds a Chartered Banker MBA from Bangor University, United Kingdom, and an MSc in Finance, Management and Accounting from University of Bradford. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Banker Institute (UK), an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, and a member of several professional finance and risk management bodies.
He has completed executive leadership programs at globally renowned institutions including Harvard Business School, Wharton Executive Education, and the National University of Singapore Business School.
He is recognized for his strategic thinking, disciplined financial stewardship, credit expertise, and people-centered leadership style, Mr. Lotenna combines private-sector performance excellence with public-sector accountability.
