Mr. Henry Omonzojie Airiohuodion holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics (Combined Honours) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in the year 1990, followed by completion of his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme in Cross River State in the year 1991.

He joined the public service in June 1992 as a Research Officer II at the National Directorate of Employment. While in service, he pursued a Master’s degree programme at the National Open University of Nigeria as one of the pioneer Students of the University and obtained a Master degree of Business Administration (Financial Management) in September, 2010.

He was in Liaison with other Government Agencies on Policy formulation and implementation, served as NDE Desk Officer of NEPAD (National Economic Development Programme for Africa) and was engaged in project implementation surveys to determine the strengths and weaknesses of Employment Generation Programme Delivery to inform Management strategy and decision making.

As a result of the confidence reposed on him by the Management, he was given the responsibility to serve as Secretary to the NDE Tenders Board and Head of Budget in 2012.

Also due to his resourcefulness and dedication to work, the Management of the National Directorate of Employment, nominated him to represent the Agency in the implementation of Community Service, Women and Youths Employment (CSWYE) Project of the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P) under the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity, now Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment in 2014 during which he was promoted to the position of Assistant Director.

When SURE-P was disbanded with the coming of a new Administration in 2015, he returned to his organization.  He was subsequently nominated to attend Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) Certification training course in Badagry, Lagos State. Having passed the Certification exam, he was converted to Procurement Officers Cadre in 2016. While in Procurement Department, he was promoted to the position of Deputy Director Procurement in 2018 where he served and retired in February, 2023.

He was appointed Director Corporate Services in the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) on 21st December, 2023 where he served until, he was redeployed to Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) as Director Corporate Services on the 9th February, 2026.

He is from Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State and he is married with children.
