Engr. Haliru A. Lawal

About

Engineer Haliru A. Lawal was born in Zaria, Kaduna State on the 7th November, 1967. He attended Magajiya LEA Primary school in 1978, and proceeded to Katsina Teachers College, where he bagged a Grade II Teachers Certificate in 1983.

Engr. Haliru A. Lawal is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria (ABU) in Automobile-Technical (1993). He holds a Master's degree in Disaster Risk Management also from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He also attended the prestigious Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) Zaria, for an Abridged course where he obtained a Diploma in Aircraft Airframe and Power Plant (Maintenance Engineering) and its license.

Following the completion of his compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), he was conferred with the best Corper of the year award which came with automatic employment in 2002.

He joined the service of Peugeot Automobile Nigeria (PAN) as an Instructor in Industrial/Vocational Training and rose to become the Head of Industrial/Vocational Training of the PAN Learning Centre.

In furtherance of his career trajectory, he joined the former Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB), now Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) in 2012 as Assistant General Manager (Engineering). He was later promoted as the General Manager (Engineering), the position he held till 2019, where he was posted to the NSIB Regional Office, Kano as a Regional Manager.

Engr. Haliru A. Lawal became the Director of Human Resources and Administration at the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) in 2023. He is married with wonderful children.
