Engr. Henry Minabowanre Baro is a seasoned engineer with a Bachelor of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Benin, which he earned in 2003.

Engr. Henry Minabowanre Baro is an accomplished engineer with a Bachelor of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Benin, obtained in 2003. He is a member of several prestigious professional bodies, including the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He is also a member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) and holds a real estate license from the Texas Real Estate Commission, in addition to being part of the National Association of Realtors, USA.

Over the course of more than two decades, he has developed a wide-ranging expertise in engineering,  supply chain management, and process control. He began his career in 2003 at Proves Nigeria Limited, working on the Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company (WRPC) project. His responsibilities included inspecting and maintaining rotating equipment, such as pumps, turbines, and compressors, and developing preventive maintenance schedules. In 2005, he joined Chevron Nigeria Limited, where he trained at Sasol Synfuels International in South Africa. During this time, he contributed to the development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for the Air Separation Unit (ASU).

In 2008, Engr. Baro took on the role of Inventory Control Analyst at Chevron, optimizing stock levels and managing inventory processes. He later advanced to become a Supply Chain Management Administrator, warehousing, and project scheduling. By 2009, as Senior Process Controller for Chevron’s Gas to Liquid (GTL) project, he supported process control and system optimization.

In 2010, Engr. Baro became the Executive Project Director at Barjol Engineering Services Limited, where he led large-scale engineering projects, ensuring profitability, risk management, and adherence to safety regulations.

Currently, as Director at the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB),  Engr. Baro continues to leverage his diverse skill set, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to high safety standards. He is happily married and blessed with extra-ordinary children.
