Gyro Air Limited preliminary-report accident 001

Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) was notified of the occurrence by the operator on 10th September, 2020. Investigators were subsequently deployed to the incident site and commenced post incident assessments on 11th September, 2020 under the provisions of Civil Aviation Investigation of Air Accidents and Incidents Regulations 2019 and ICAO Annex 13. The purpose of this preliminary report is to provide details of the initial facts, discussions and findings surrounding the occurrence; it includes information gathered from Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR), witness statements and a post occurrence inspection of the incident site.
