Dr. Mrs. Folake Itohan Oke-Okundaye is the Director, Finance and Account at the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau. In this role, she is responsible for developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls in compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Preparing and managing the organization’s budget and financial plans. She is also responsible for providing financial advice and support to the departments and directorates within the organization.

 

Holding a B.Sc. and an MBA in Business Administration and a PhD in Credit Management from American University of London (AUOL), UK, Dr./Mrs. Folake continues to zenith by being a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration, Institute of Chartered Economists and Institute for Governance, Risk Management and Compliance Professionals. She also holds a Professional Fellowship Doctorate from the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria.

 

Dr./Mrs. Folake has over 20 years of extensive work experience that covers Co-operative, Mortgage Banking as well as Commercial and Public Sector Banking. She is a dynamic and versatile banker who started her career in banking as an Industrial Trainee with Union Bank of Nigeria in 1991. Dr./Mrs. Folake joined Gulf Bank of Nigeria in 2000, serving in different roles in the Treasury and Public Sectors and Private Banking.

 

She also served at First City Monument Bank as a relationship officer then later moved to Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria as a Controller in Abuja, FCT and Ekiti State from 2006 in assisting the Management of the bank to achieve the objectives of the National Housing Fund Act. Dr./Mrs. Folake became the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Crystal Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited in 2009. In 2012, she joined Nigerian Export-Import (NEXIM) Bank as a two time Executive Director, Corporate Services and Executive Director, Business Development supervising the Head, Finance and Account, Head, Trade Finance and Head, Credit Insurance and Guarantee.

 

Dr./Mrs. Folake became the Director, Finance and Account at the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) in 2023 supervising the Finance and Account Departments in preparation of Financial and Management Reports, Budgets and coordination of statutory audits.
