Final Report on Boeing 737-300 aircraft, 5N-BUO

Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB-N) became aware of the serious incident on the social media before being officially notified by the operator in the evening of 14th December, 2018. The aircraft was ferried from Enugu to Lagos and parked at GAT apron when investigators arrived.

On 14th December 2018, a Boeing 737-300 aircraft with Nationality and Registration Marks 5N-BUO operated APK7100 scheduled passenger flight from Murtala Muhammed International Airport (DNMM), Lagos to Akanu Ibiam International Airport (DNEN), Enugu. The service was initially scheduled to be operated using another Boeing 737-300 with nationality and registration marks 5N-BUK in the operator’s fleet but was changed to 5N-BUO, due to technical reasons by the OCC of the company.
